Life after high school for young people with ASD [Facebook page] University of Queensland, 2014
As part of a research project, University of Queensland students have set up a "Life after high school" for young people with ASD group which aims to provide a confidential space to discuss post-school transitioning experiences and post-school options for young people with ASD. The goal of this project is to explore the factors that support and prepare young people with ASD to successfully transition into a post-school option (such as employment, training or further education). An informal support group of /for parents (mainly mums) of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, many of whom also have anxiety/depression/ADD/ADHD. Monthly meetings are held to support each other, share information, resources and useful ideas. Please note this group is now full and can no longer take members - see other groups in Joondalup, Bassendean, Wattle Grove, and Fremantle.
